frequently asked questions!

Do you work with my album printing companies?

Absolutely! I work with all album printing companies.

When you order, please include:

Album Company Name

Album Company Website

Page width (inches)

Page height (inches)

Resolution (ppi or dpi)

What is my total cost?

I have two design services to choose from.

Pro Service: Modern design style with storytelling and unlimited reviesions. $2 per spread, so a 20-spread album costs $40. No color correction or skin retouching included.

Premium Service: Three design styles to choose from. Includes color correction, skin retouching, and unlimited revision. $4 per spread, so a 20-spread album costs $80.

You can choose which service fits your needs and budget best.

Do you design album for events like family portraits, boudoir, seniors, and others?

Yes, definitely! I can design albums for any type of photography session or event you shoot. Just tell me what you need, and I'll design it for you!

Is there a minimum or maximum number of spreads you can design?

I design albums starting at a minimum of 10 spreads (20 pages). There’s no maximum spread limit, except for any limits set by your chosen album printing company.

How long does it take to get my first album design ready?

I’ll share a link to your first design draft within 2-4 business days. Need it faster? For an extra $30, I can usually deliver it in 24 hours with rush service.

What’s the difference between a spread and a page?

A spread is the full layout you see when the album is open, covering two pages side by side. For example, a 10x10" album has spreads that are 20x10". Each spread includes two pages.

How many rounds of revisions do I get?

Unlimited! Each album design order comes with unlimited rounds of revisions. I won’t finish until you and your client are completely satisfied with the design.

How does your proofing work?

I use AlbumDraft for online proofing. After I design your album, I'll email you the first draft. You can add comments next to each page if you want changes. Your comments are saved automatically so you can come back anytime. When you're ready, just click "SUBMIT" and I'll make your changes. You can also send the proof to your client for their review. Your client can submit changes too, or if no changes are needed, they click "APPROVE" and I get notified.

Then I'll send you the final invoice, and once you pay, you get your final album files. It's simple and keeps everything organized!

How will we know when you finish the changes?

I'll email you when the album is updated. If you like it, just send your client an email and tell them they can see the new design using the same link they had before!

Is the album preview the same quality as my final files?

No! The AlbumDraft preview uses low-quality images to load faster. When I finish your album, the software puts your original high quality images back in. If you want to check how an image will look, just open your original photo on your computer and make it the same size it will be in the album.

Do you offer printed albums or just digital layouts?

I only do album design! I create the digital layouts for you. You can then send these designs to any album printing company you like. I don't print albums myself — I just focus on making beautiful designs that work with whatever printer you choose.

My album has a photo wrap cover. Will you design it for me?

Yes! I can design your photo wrap cover for a small extra $10 fee. If your album company gives you a template file, please send it with your photos. If not, tell me the exact cover size and details in the order form. I need the right information to make it work properly. If you want your logo on the cover, please send that too.

Do you offer image culling? How many images can I send you?

You can send up to 400 images for each album. If you have more than 400 images, I can help pick the best ones for $0.02 per image. Just write in the order form that you want me to pick your images. I'll send you an Invoice for the extra cost and choose the cull photos for your album. For example, 500 images cost an extra $10, and 750 images cost an extra $15..

Do you offer color correction or skin retouching?

Yes! I include basic color correction and retouching in my premium service pricing. This is one of the most important things your photos need before printing an album. I make sure your images look their best by fixing colors, brightness, and small touch-ups. This helps your album print perfectly and look amazing. Good color correction makes a big difference in how your final album turns out, so I always check each photo to make sure it's ready for printing.
